Film Friday: Carnival of Souls

Carnival of Souls is one of the best spooky films I’ve seen in a long time. Not only does it have the standard expectations of creepiness down pat, but it’s just a really good story, as well as expertly shot.

Whereas I might usually spend more time discussing this film, I think this is a movie best experienced with zero explanations or opinions to cloud one’s perspective ahead of time. Just give it a watch with virgin eyes and mind and you’ll be doing yourself a favor!

It’s also not super gruesome at all, so it’s a safe option for youthful audiences if that is something you are concerned with.
