Ready for a comedy complete with warm-hearted moments and a few good thought-provoking ones as well? Well, I’ve got you covered!
Night on Earth was a really fun find for me. I stumbled upon it and saw Winona Ryder was in the cast (and I totes lurve her) so I gave it a whirl. Like most films I share on here, it isn’t 100% through and through perfectly my favorite by any means, but again, I consider a good film to have wonderful elements, not be 100% filled to the brim with them. And this one is just that.
We expect so much perfection in life when life can never and will never be perfect. We get pissed at waiters when meals are behind schedule, we get pissed at our loved ones for not saying just the right thing at the right time, we get pissed with our jobs when they get boring, we get pissed pissed pissed.
I’m pretty sure we’d all enjoy life a little better if we accepted the imperfections and didn’t allow them to ruin the good parts. And that’s what I’m getting at about watching films, and that’s what this film touches on a lot. Life is such a funny thing. And a hard thing. And a crazy thing. But it can be good. Many times it just depends on how we look at things.
So give this little treasure a try and see if you can’t glean something or some things from it. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
